Rachel and I had tickets to see Cinderella at the Tuacahn Theatre in St. George. Tate came along as our escort. The three of us packed an overnight bag, our swimsuits, and of course Rachel's Cinderella dress up and headed down south Friday morning! Grandma and Grandpa were out of town at a reunion for Dad's flight training school, but told us to make ourselves at home at their place in Ivins. Their house is the ultimate relaxation spot! Grandma had decorated the house for Halloween and left surprises for the kids. There was food in the fridge and the pool was warm! We had no problem settling in. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa!! The show started at 7:30. We had front and center seats. I was a little worried about how our little escort would behave but he was a champion! He and Rachel were totally captivated the entire show. (we ran the stairs a couple of times at intermission to insure the second half was as wiggle free as the first) After the show, we visited the gift shop where Rachel talked me into a little glass carriage display and we purchased a geode for Mitchell. Dad and Mitchell had stayed behind for a little "guy" time, and to attend Mitch's football game on Saturday morning. (which was a great game! Mitchell was quarterback for much of the game and scored 3 touchdowns himself by doing a quarterback sneak play. Way to go Mitch!!)
Rachel also got an autograph and a picture with the actress who played Cinderella. She was beaming. On the way to the car we let Tate play in the waterfall that lines the stairs of the front of the theater. He had to touch the water about every 5 feet so needless to say, we were one of the last cars out of the parking lot. Grandma and Grandpa live right at the base of Tuacahn and Snow Canyon. You can see the theater lights from their back yard. So our 5 minute commute back home was great! The kids could barely keep their eyes open to brush their teeth, and they were out. I kissed them both goodnight and wished them good dreams... then... Oh Yeah!! Mommy time in St. George!! I wasted no time getting into the hot tub for some rest and relaxation! The stars were bright and the tub was roasting hot. What a great ending to a great day with my cute kids!

I'm extremely jealous...especially of the mommy time in the hot tub! You deserve it! So, Friday around 3:30 for some witches?
