Happy Thanksgiving!

Wishing Friends and Family a
Happy Thanksgiving!

We spent the Thanksgiving holiday in St. George at my parents home!! ST GORGEOUS as most that know Rachel will put it! We had an absolute blast as usual. My Dad and Mom are always up for having fun...living it up...cooking good food...playing games...taking the kids on hikes...shopping with Mom!...four wheeling...a little backyard mini golf...biking and riding scooters...and, of course, as much swimming and hot tubbing as anyone wants to handle! We really had an enjoyable time. Jeff and Deb were there with Hayden... Aaron, Michelle, Christian, Hannah, Chloe & Ryan O... and for Thanksgiving Day... my cousin Jill and hubby Mike... kids Amanda, Syd and Brandon...and their sister in law Christine and her four boys! My mom and Dad had a house full and it was GREAT! The kids were in HEAVEN as always! Running around.. doing their thing...and other than a little ER trip for Tate for his croup... the Utes losing... and an instacare visit for Michelle's cookie making burn on her hand... the entire extended weekend went off without a hitch and we all had a BLAST! I'm including a slideshow of the trip so that I can post all of the great pictures to remember the FUN!

Fun with Ryan Olivia!

Aaron and Michelle went to the U of U football game on Saturday and we were able to tend my cute niece Ryan! She is such a doll! Tate shared all his toys with her and wanted to "hug her" constantly..... Rachel had fun playing dress ups with her, and having her do piano "concerts"... and it was cute to see how much Mitchell wanted to pick her up and hold her! She was a delight to have in the house! Kevin had fun making her laugh... and she couldn't get enough of Uncle Kev! And I really enjoyed having a baby girl to snuggle and hold. She and I even went on a quick girls shopping trip to Modern Display. Here are a couple of pictures of our fun day! We wish they lived closer!

Beautiful FALL weather

We were outside enjoying the beautiful fall weather just about every minute of this past weekend. I love this time of year! And this weekend was picture perfect....we could not get enough. We finished up all of our outside projects and yard care in preparation for winter.... went on a few bike and scooter rides... played with Max... cleaned the garage.... hung Christmas lights on the house (well Kevin did... nice going baby!).... BBQ'd on Sunday... and enjoyed the beautiful outdoors while we still could! It was a fun and productive weekend!

Here are a couple of Christmas lights pictures...

We had some lights cut to the perfect length at Modern Display this year
what does this mean?? No more wrapping every connection with zip lock bags and electrical tape!

Kev even gets up on the high peaks on the side of the house!
He's such a stud!

The kids were going crazy all day wanting to get up on the roof too!
Finally that evening Kevin let them up on the lower portion above the porch!
We did a test run of the lights!
(we'll wait until after Thanksgiving to have them on officially.... because that freaks me out to do it before!)

COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS

Tonight for Family Home Evening we talked about GRATITUDE. I love the month of November and the opportunity it gives us to reflect upon our countless blessings! We made a list of the many things we are thankful for to hang on our pantry door this month. I loved the sweet input of our children. It was so rewarding to hear them name their blessings "one by one"! We really are SO TRULY BLESSED!
